Review of term 1

I’ve been studying media studies for about a month.
I’ve gained an understanding about the narrative and how the narrative creates the film and all about the different acts.
I also learnt about the VALS (values and Lifestyles) & TAGS (target audience grouping system) and which ads and programmes they appeal to and different ways of calculating audiences and the pros and cons of each.
I’ve found myself analyzing which VALS AND TAGS that different programs and its ads are appealing to. I also have found that when I watch movies, I look at the structure a lot and try to figure out the different acts.
